Emilie Drinkwater

Emilie is a mountain guide based in Salt Lake City, UT. She grew up alpine and nordic ski racing in New Hampshire and was first introduced to climbing while attending St Lawrence University in northern NY. Her first work as a climbing guide was in 2001 and today she is certified as an IFMGA/UIAGM American Mountain Guide.

Her climbing and guiding lifestyle has taken her worldwide from the Adirondacks to Asia in pursuit of exploration and adventure. Despite a preference for technical alpine climbing and ski mountaineering, Emilie has an extensive endurance background that includes four years as an NCAA Division I Nordic skier, two Ironman USA triathlons, and numerous long distance running and multi-sport races. The result being a high tolerance to pain and suffering – good qualities for mountain climbing!
