Pete Guillard
Certified Rock GuideAbout me
Pete Guillard has been living and playing in Western North Carolina for the last 15 years. He has climbed all over the country, from the sunny high deserts of the southwest to the granite domes of the southeastern forests. Pete cut his teeth at Rumbling Bald, NC. The Bald plays a huge role in Pete’s now techy style of traditional climbing that has been an advantage over the years, climbing at new venues across the country.
Pete holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Outdoor Education from Montreat College with a minor in Environmental Studies, is a certified Rock Guide and Wilderness First Responder. But most importantly, it is dedicated to the art of rock climbing and guiding and continues to push personal limits on the rock.
Pete has been guiding for the last 15 years. From humble beginnings, taking students out during his college years, to 10+ years working and developing his craft with guide services such as Fox Mountain Guides, to now owning and operating his own small guide service.
When he’s not on the rocks, you’ll likely find him enjoying time with his wife and dog, taking photos of climbers and WNC’s great landscapes, playing guitar, or indulging in a fine cup of specialty coffee.
