Certified Ski Guide
About me
Max Bond hails from the “skiing mecca” of Cleveland, Ohio, where he found a love for the outdoors at a young age. He became a snowboard instructor at the local 280-ft ski area when he was 16 years old, and has worked in the ski industry ever since. He moved to New Hampshire to study glaciology and snow science at Dartmouth College, and became a ski/splitboard and alpine guide straight out of school. He has skied, climbed, and guided peaks in the Himalayas, Antarctica, Iceland, France, Alaska, Ecuador, and throughout the American West, including Mt. Everest, Mt. Vinson, and Denali. Max is a Certified Splitboard Guide through the American Mountain Guide Association and maintains American Avalanche Association Pro-2, American Association of Snowboard Instructors Level-2, and Wilderness First Responder Certifications. Max is an experienced guide internationally, having led expeditions on 5 continents. In the winter, Max resides in the Pacific Northwest, guiding skiers and snowboarders on the legendary volcanoes of the PNW and teaching avalanche courses for the American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE).
