James Klaers

James has been climbing since 2007 and is passionate about sharing positive experiences in the outdoors with others. Living in Colorado since 2002, James has extensively explored the mountains around the Western US. The Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP, Eldorado Canyon SP, North Cascades NP, and UT desert towers all hold a special place in his heart. With nearly two decades of climbing experience, a background in outdoor education, and a deep appreciation for interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, James facilitates a variety of outdoor activities at a high level. Whether learning introductory skills, working through internal challenges within climbing, or nerding out on highly technical systems, James is calm, compassionate and happy to get outside with you.
