Daniel Johnson

Originally from Culpeper, Virginia, in a previous life Daniel graduated from the Naval Academy with a BS in aerospace engineering and a minor in Mandarin Chinese. He was commissioned as a Naval Aviator and flew the EP-3E Aries II from 2014 to 2020. Now that he’s able to pursue his dream job, Daniel loves the days he has the opportunity to provide higher-level instruction to climbers of all skill levels. Climbing some quality pitches is always a bonus and splitter cracks are his favorite. He is a skilled photographer and spends a good chunk of time drinking coffee.
